Dick Bruna is een grafisch ontwerper, een perfectionist en doet alles met de hand. Hij staat bekend om de eenvoud in zijn werk. Inmiddels is Dick Bruna bijna over de hele wereld bekend maar ondanks dat bleef hij een bescheiden man. Om die reden heb ik besloten om een interieurobject te maken als eerbetoon aan Dick Bruna. De kroon op het werk van Dick Bruna is daar de uitkomst van. Het is letterlijk een kroon die bovenop de boeken van Dick Bruna komt. In mijn ontwerp heb ik de eenvoud die hij gebruikt toegepast.

Dick Bruna is a graphic designer, a perfectionist and does everything by hand. He is known for the simplicity in his work. Meanwhile Dick Bruna is known almost all over the world but despite that he remained a modest man. For that reason I decided to make an interior object as a tribute to Dick Bruna. The crown on the work of Dick Bruna is the outcome of this. It is literally a crown that comes on top of Dick Bruna’s books. In my design I have applied the simplicity that he uses in his own work.
